District Notification Regarding Personnel Matter at Fulton Junior High School

The Fulton City School District is writing to inform the community of a recent personnel matter involving a staff member at Fulton Junior High School.

District administrators became aware of allegations that a staff member had engaged in inappropriate and potentially criminal behavior in the presence of students. Upon learning of the matter, district administration immediately confronted the individual and placed them on administrative leave.  The incident was then reported to the Fulton Police Department for investigation.

The staff member has since resigned from their position with the district. As of this afternoon, that individual has now been arrested.

The safety and well-being of our students remains the district's highest priority. The district is cooperating fully with law enforcement and will continue to assist as the investigation proceeds.

Because this remains an active legal matter, the district is limited in the information it can release at this time. We encourage anyone with relevant information to contact the Fulton Police Department.
