GRB Students inducted into National Honor Society

An impressive forty-seven students were recently celebrated at Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School during their induction into the National Honor Society. The recognition highlights their successes both inside and outside the classroom and welcomes them into the prestigious national organization.
Student inductees were required to meet a rigorous set of academic requirements while participating in volunteer activities that serve the greater community. New members also needed to exhibit the four pillars of the National Honor Society: scholarship, leadership, service and character.
The induction ceremony began with words from NHS advisor Nathan Fasulo and Superintendent Doug Lawrence, who encouraged inductees to help shape the Fulton community and GRB’s school culture for the better.
“Tonight is not merely a recognition of what you have done, it is a celebration of who you are,” said Lawrence to the sizeable class of new members. “To be sitting in these seats, you have already proven yourselves to be among the most academically-focused and most-involved students in our high school. Because of that involvement, you hold a unique position as the architects of our school culture.”
The remainder of the ceremony was conducted by this year’s Honor Society officers, including President Kody Doran, Vice President Olivia Hendrickson, Parliamentarian Gwendalyne Hollenbeck, Treasurer Finley Nye, Historian Angus McClave, and Secretary Madeline Viscome.
