GRB Honors Fulton Students with Academic Awards Ceremony
Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School held its 41st Annual Academic Awards Evening on Monday, June 5, honoring the academic achievements of more than 190 students in grades 9 through 12 throughout the 2022-2023 school year.
The evening began with the singing of the National Anthem and the school’s Alma Mater, sung by students Dawson Krause and Ashley Taplin, both members of the GRB Concert Choir. The evening was hosted by School Principal Nathan Murray alongside Assistant Principals Tracy Richards and Amy Stephenson.
“The students we are about to honor not only excel in their knowledge, they are leaders in their school community,” Murray noted in his opening remarks. “Our students and honorees have distinguished themselves as role models for their peers because of their character, work ethic, and talent. The staff at G. Ray Bodley have observed them on the fields, the courts, on the stage, and in the classroom dedicating themselves to consistently doing their best.”
A great number of awards were presented by GRB department heads, local organizations, and several colleges and universities. All received honorary certificates while some honors included scholarships, prizes, and monetary awards.
