Universal Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration
The Fulton City School District will open registration for our Universal Pre-Kindergarten
and Kindergarten for the school year (2023-2024) on March 18th at our Fulton Family
Universal Pre-Kindergarten Half and Full Day Classrooms
We invite any child who will turn four years old on or before December 1, 2023 to register for UPK. The Fulton City School District will offer half day and full day classrooms for the 2023-24 school year.
**The number of available seats for the full day classrooms are dependent on the allocation the District receives from NYS. In the event that more registrations are received than can be accommodated, the district will conduct an initial selection process via an open lottery in which children will be selected at random. Those children who have completed the registration process by May 19, 2023 will be part of the initial selection process.
Families who were part of the initial selection process will be called in order of selection and informed by June 2, 2023:
Whether their child has been accepted into a full day classroom, and
Which building is available for their child:
Where their child is on the waiting list for a full day seat, and
Which building and time(s) is available for a half day seat
Kindergarten children must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2023. **Current UPK students do not need to register for Kindergarten.
All registrations are done by filling out this online registration form. Please provide the following required information at the time of registration: an original birth certificate, your NYS issued I.D. and proof of residency. Up-to-date immunizations and Physical Examination forms are optional until the first day of school.

Student registration for the 2022-2023 school year must begin with the Online Registration process. The registrar's office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays to Fridays September through June, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays throughout July and August. If needed, materials may also be faxed to the office at (315) 593-5542.
The following documentation is required to begin the registration process:
- Original Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records (see NYS Immunization Requirements)
- Proof of Residency (copy of signed lease, utility bill, tax bill)
- Parent/Guardian Driver's License or Photo ID
- Custody Papers (if applicable)
- Latest Report Card or Class Schedule
- Copy of Child's IEP (if the child was receiving special education services in previous district)
- Copy of Child's 504 Plan (if the child was receiving 504 accommodations in previous district)
