GRB Students to Teach About Environment

Students in Dan Mainville’s Global Environment classes are creating cleaner communities.
Members of the 2015-2016 class researched recycling efforts and developed lesson plans which will be passed on to members of the 2016-2017 Global Environment class to teach to elementary students throughout the Fulton City School District.
Mainville said the model was developed from the vision of Robert Green, committee chairman for the Oswego County Green Team Anti-Litter Campaign. Green has envisioned a clean Fulton community with anti-litter and recycling efforts carried out by the local youth. Once the program is piloted with Fulton schools, Mainville said plans could be shared with other school districts throughout Oswego County.
Global Environment, a course through SUNY ESF, is offered for 11th- and 12th-graders at G. Ray Bodley High School.
