Members of the G. Ray Bodley High School Class of 2016 recently proved to elementary students that hard work really does pay off.
The graduating seniors returned to their elementary alma maters of Volney, Granby, Fairgrieve and Lanigan schools, where they were met with applause from current students and staff members. The youngsters lined the hallways during the gradation walks where they gave high fives and cheered as each senior passed by in their caps and gowns.
While at the elementary schools, several of the GRB seniors reminisced about their younger years, favorite teachers and cherished memories. Some teachers handed out old assignments from when they had the seniors at least years ago. The older students chatted about how much they’ve grown up, what they’ve learned and how excited they are for new adventures.
As the seniors exited Lanigan Elementary, staff members wept tears of joy and said how proud they were of the seniors’ accomplishments.
All GRB seniors then met at the Fulton Junior High School, where they paraded the halls and offered words of encouragement to the incoming GRB freshmen.
