Students are in Self-Control at Fairgrieve

Fairgrieve Elementary School Principal Jean Ciesla recognized several students during a recent Morning Express program for exhibiting self-control throughout the month of April.
All 25 classroom teachers in grades kindergarten through six submitted the name of one student to receive the school’s Virtue of the Month Award. Recipients were congratulated by their peers, teachers and guests before they received a “brag tag” for their efforts.
Attendees were also treated to a Fourth Grade Glee Club performance of “Put on Your Thinking Cap,” which provided a message of waking up one’s brain, finding a new way to finish a task and pressing on with one’s day. Director Hope Lawton said several students have shown self-control with English Language Arts state testing throughout the past couple of weeks.
