Mrs. DeStevens Science Class

Welcome to Science with Mrs. DeStevens

This year we will learning about all the Earth Systems; Weather, Plate Tectonics, Rocks and Minerals, Energy and beyond our atmosphere and into outer space with Astronomy! My class will also explore and dabble with some chemistry. We follow the New York State Grade 5-8 Science curriculum and our curriculum map can be found on our district website.

My name is Allyson DeStevens and I graduated from SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry in 2000 with a Bachelors in Science in Environmental Forest Biology. I then graduated from LeMoyne College in 2003 with an Masters in Science Teaching in Secondary Science Education.  I began teaching in the Fulton City School District in September 2003 and love the community and sense of family here. I have always had a love for science and desire to spread that enthusiasm for inquiry and exploration into the world around us. I grew up in nearby Oswego, New York and now reside in Oswego County with my family.
