Granby First Graders Hold Blood Drive

First grade students at Granby Elementary School recently put project based learning into action when they held a blood drive at the school. The students have studied the human body as one of their curriculum units in ELA and decided to hold the blood drive to benefit the American Red Cross. The students surpassed their goal of 30 donors during the drive and created thank you cards to be displayed and given to the donors for their “gift of life.” Pictured are representatives from the first grades at Granby with some of their thank you cards and their thermometer graph to mark their goal.
