Hello families! Welcome to our website designed to keep you up to date on all things alt. ed at G. Ray Bodley High School. Please feel free to email me with input and suggestions. I hope everyone had a great break and is ready to put the pedal to the metal as we continue in the 3rd marking period. Here are some important dates to keep in mind for the month of March:
- March 15th (evening) and 16th - Student Led Conferences. There will be no classes on March 16th.
- March 19th - Career Day at G. Ray Bodley High School (early dismissal - 10:30)
- March 24th - Parent University
Student Led Conferences - 9th and 10th grade students have been scheduled for student led conferences that will take place in school at their scheduled time with their seminar teacher. Students have been hard at work collecting evidence and artifacts of learning that they are eagar to show their families, friends, and teachers. I know I personally look forward to seeing what students have created and learned!
Floor hockey fun! Students and staff alike have been enjoying our floor hockey unit that we are currently doing in PE. It has been great seeing students take a risk on a sport they may not have normally played and being so involved. This has has been our best unit yet and the kids have been so into it! As you can see below, we don't want this unit to end! Even though it may have ended up with me having an orthopedic appointment!
Career Day - On Monday, March 19th, students will have the opportunity to listen to various presenters talk about their careers, education, and requirements for over 50 different jobs. Students selected choices during guided study hall and will make there rounds through different presenters during the morning. Reminder, students will be dismissed at 10:30 this day.
The schedule for the day:
