Kindergarten bus orientation events held

From an early age within Fulton City schools, students learn that safety is a top priority, beginning with buses in kindergarten. The Fulton City School District recently hosted kindergarten bus orientation events for students to meet their bus drivers, have parents or guardians accompany students on a dry run and to review important safety information.

Pictured at right, are Volney Elementary School kindergarteners Anthony Finch and David Wilkins who learned those introductions, and more, from bus driver Tamara Haley, left. She encouraged them that when they get off of the bus they are to stay at least 10 feet in front of the bus, and wait for her hand signals to safely cross the street.
