Citizenship honors for several Lanigan students

Lanigan Elementary students were honored for being outstanding citizens during a recent school assembly.

Because the students, in grades kindergarten through six, displayed a positive attitude toward others, respectfulness, courteousness, a willingness to welcome others, helpfulness and hard work throughout the month of June, they received the school’s Role Model award for citizenship.

As each awardee was called up, they were greeted with cheers and high-fives from students. “I was not expecting that!” said second-grader Kaleb Bartlett. Other students who received the Role Model award are: Paige Kreinheder, Ryan Smith, Emma Longley, Robert Bean, Clarissa Fake, Lilly Lopez, Cameron Connolly, Kye Teeter, Gabby Mitchell, Jacob Hotaling, Addison Smith, Grace Cowart, Madalyn LaBeef, Isriella Towle, Rhyan Pitcher, Liliana Garcia, Evan Philbin, Nick Sands, Easton Shepard, Heindrich Mesick, Cameron Trail, Connor Fluent and Isaac Becker.

Also recognized during the awards ceremony were four kindergartners: Sophia Donahue, Allie Demott, Logan Wilcox and Ean Prusinowski, who were given “On a Roll” certificates because they made good choices during the last quarter.
