GRB students receive the golden ticket

G. Ray Bodley High School recently began a new program to recognize students in grades nine through 12 who have become shining examples at GRB.

The Golden Ticket Referral Program mirrors similar programs at the Fulton City School District Elementary buildings, which honor students who have succeeded with the district’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports initiative.

GRB students are nominated by teachers and high school staff members who recognize the freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors for showing responsibility, respect, problem-solving, safety and several character education traits throughout school grounds, inside the building and at Fulton City School District events.

At the end of each month, one name is randomly selected to become the student of the month. The program’s first winner in February was senior Erin Baker.

The high school is working with Cayuga Community College to gather merchandise to award to students as monthly prizes.
