SPECIAL CLASS COUNSELORS MISSION:
The mission of the Special Education Counselors of the Fulton City School District is to support students with significant special education needs within the Special Class Programs to enhance their affective functioning and support academic progress.  
 
SPECIAL CLASS COUNSELOR PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Special Class Counselor in the Fulton City School District is to provide counseling services for specific Special Class Programs with in the public school setting by working on social and emotional needs.  This may include individual, group and/or crisis counseling, classroom-based instruction, consultation with faculty and staff, referrals for mental health counselor, recommendations for other community-based supports and collaboration with home-based services. 

2016-2017 COUNSELING DEPARTMENT GOAL:
We will engage 100% of our students in identifying, practicing and implementing prosocial skills in order to meet the high standards of academic achievement.
