Lanigan students honored for gratitude

Lanigan Elementary School is filled with thankful students.
A handful of the youngsters were recently recognized as school role models for exhibiting gratitude throughout November. For their efforts, they received a special certificate, applause and cheers from their peers, Lanigan staff members and guests.
Twenty-four students received the monthly “Role Model” award because they were polite, thankful for help received as school and showed appreciation. School Psychologist Carlo Cuccaro led the school assembly and talked with students about the meaning of gratitude. Cuccaro encouraged students to thank the adults in their lives who help them live happy, healthy lives.
