Fulton Schools Develop Improvement Plan

The Fulton City School District has made strides in its quest to develop a Comprehensive District Educational Plan thanks to input from district staff members, parents, students and community members. The plan explains how FCSD uses funds to improve the district’s program in educating students, particularly those with disabilities.

Because FCSD was recently identified as a Focus District by the New York State Education Department, a core group of FCSD staff members have worked throughout the summer months to review district initiatives, develop an action plan for addressing needs of economically disadvantaged students and assess professional development (PD) needs to build the staff’s ability to address social and emotional needs of students.

Throughout the school year, staff members will engage in more PD opportunities to help engage all learners, re-administer the Student Voice Survey to assess the impact of efforts to support social/emotional health and define roles and responsibilities related to family and community engagement.
