Kindergarten Projects

Kindergarten Clay Medals

Students used their sneakers to create a texture in clay, which we then fired and painted gold to create treasures. We learned that clay is a form of rock dust from the earth, is mixed with water, and formed into objects. When the clay is fired very hot, it changes into stone ceramic material. We learned that dishes, pipes, and even toilets are made with clay, as well as art objects.
