All About Me

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Welcome to a new school year! My name is Mrs. Novitske and I will be the case manager (special education teacher) for your child this year.
As your child’s next big adventure gets underway, I feel that it is important for families to know a little bit about who I am and what my role will be this year at school as I work with your Fulton Jr. High student!

Growing up in Palermo, NY and attending school at Mexico Academy have provided me with a sense of community and love for the Central New York area. Even through my college years I have remained close to home. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Oswego and my Master’s Degree from Le Moyne College.
I am certified to teach levels Birth through Ninth grade in regular education and special education. I have been teaching for nine years now. I taught the first 5 years with the Watertown City School District when I decided to make a career change to be closer to home. This will be my fourth year teaching with the Fulton City School District and I am excited for the change and opportunity to grow as an educator.

I teach all academic and content areas including reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and often adaptive (life), social, and hygiene skills. I work closely with the speech, occupational, audiologists, teachers of the deaf, counselors, physical therapists, and psychologists to provide the best, well-rounded education for your child.

Please feel free to express any of your concerns or ask any questions that concern the learning and education of your child. If you would like to contact me, I can be reached at the school at 315-593- 5440 during school hours or through email: anovitske@fulton.cnyric.org. I look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

Amanda J. Carr Novitske
