Course Description :
Fall:  General Physics 1   PHY 103 (4 credit hours)  :  The first course in general physics introduces basic laws and theories of physics : kinematics, laws of motion, work and energy, momentum and collisions, and circular and rotational motion.

Spring:  General Physics 2 PHY 104 (4 credit hours) : The second course in general physics introduces electrostatics, DC and AC circuits, magnetism, oscillatory motion, mechanical waves, sound waves, and geometric optics and physical optics.

Course Materials :
1.)Textbook:  Physics, Wilson and Buffa and Lou sixth edition, Prentice Hall
3.)Graphing or Scientific Calculator
4.)Metric Ruler and Protractor

Evaluation of Student Performance and Grading:
Evaluation of student's work is based upon laboratory reports, unit exams, quizzes, homework, and notebook.  Note : Students will be withdrawn from the class or receive an "F" if they are absent from class a total of 20% of the scheduled classes in accordance to the college attendance policy.  

It is strongly encouraged to check each student's progress through school Tools.  This is updated every two to three days.  I am available for help every day thru the day including guided study hall and after school.
