FCSD makes strategic planning progress FCSD makes strategic planning progress: As the Fulton City School District works through the planning of its Strategic Coherence Plan, administrators have aimed to share components of the preparation process, leading up to the plan’s unveiling later this school year.   FCSD administrators have worked alongside various stakeholders, both inside and outside of the school district, to carefully frame the five-year plan. FCSD elementary students perform in all-county FCSD elementary students perform in all-county: The Fulton City School District recently celebrated dozens of elementary school students who were invited to participate in the Oswego County Music Educator’s Association All-County Band and Chorus Festival.   Select FCSD students from Volney, Lanigan, Fairgrieve and Granby elementary schools showcased their musical talents during ensemble performances, held in Hannibal earlier this month. Volney Elementary celebrates students’ teamwork Volney Elementary celebrates students’ teamwork: Volney Elementary students have been on a roll with their goals and have displayed teamwork throughout the month of October.   Both achievements were celebrated during a recent school assembly where nearly 40 students received special recognition from Principal Todd Terpening. FJHS Career Day a success FJHS Career Day a success: The annual Fulton Junior High School Career Day piqued the interest of several middle-schoolers who have begun to explore potential future jobs.   The half-day event featured a wide-range of presenters from a cross-section of the community, including hair stylists, entrepreneurs, cooks, athlete, musicians, photo editors and meteorologists, among several additional career fields. Fairgrieve celebrates its annual Harvest Festival Fairgrieve celebrates its annual Harvest Festival: A little rain couldn’t flood the Fairgrieve farm and prevent the school’s Harvest Festival from being a success.   The annual event was moved indoors where students learned the importance of farmers and their work, crops farms produce, the roles animals play, safety practices and harvesting crops.
