Long Columbus Day Weekend!
We are out of school Friday, October 7th, and again on Monday, October 10th. We will see you again on Tuesday, October 11th. Enjoy your long weekend!

Halloween Dance Will Be A Scream!
Our next school dance will be Friday, October 28. Come enjoy wall crawling, awkward slow dances and sweaty palms! Wear your costume and compete for prizes in the costume contest!

Kings and queens parade Volney Elementary hallways: All hail, the kings and queens of Volney Elementary School have commanded their subjects to bow and curtsy as they paraded in the hallways.   The royal affair was a culmination activity to a Listening and Learning unit about monarchies in Europe, fairy tales and other enchanting lessons. Fairgrieve students advance to district book battle: Months of preparation, including the cover-to-cover study of 10 chapter books and all of their miniscule details, paid off for the Wonder Girls team at Fairgrieve Elementary School.   Team members Zoey Kerr, Riley Niver and Carleigh Patterson took home first-place honors in the school’s annual Level 2 Battle of the Books competition for fifth- and sixth-grade students. AHA receives donation from Fairgrieve: Fairgrieve Elementary students recently trickled into the school gymnasium for a Morning Express program as they dropped spare change and dollars into donation canisters.   Little did they know with each monetary donation they were saving lives. That was the message that Meg Gibbons, American Heart Association Youth Market Coordinator, stressed to all students and staff in a brief presentation. GRB Course Fair shares elective opportunities: G. Ray Bodley High School seniors and teachers showcased the breadth of elective opportunities for freshmen, sophomores and juniors during the inaugural GRB Course Fair.   The event was offered to help students make informed decisions about the educational path they want to take at GRB.
