Welcome to Volney Elementary School! I am honored to serve as the new principal at Volney where teachers, parents and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and emotional growth.
Volney hosts over 400 students in grades Pre-K through Sixth grade. We are a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) school that places emphasis on our school-wide expectations of Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe and Be a Problem Solver. Our PBIS systems enthusiastically celebrate students who meet our expectations and intervene for those who need additional support.
Parent involvement is a key component to student success. Having regular communication with your child’s teacher, sitting on a committee, or volunteering in the classroom/school will help your child reach their greatest potential. If you are interested in being a member of our Parent Teacher Group, Site-Based Committee, or volunteering in the school, please contact the Main Office at (315) 593-5570.
Parent communication is vital for student success. Please note the following;

  • School Messenger: FCSD utilizes School Messenger…important dates, school events, and emergency closings (snow day, delay, early dismissal) information is communicated through email and voicemail.

*** Please be sure to provide us with a current email and cell number to ensure you don’t miss out on important information. ***
We are excited to have students back in the classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. I look forward to meeting all members of our community and building relationships that foster growth and ensure every child feels welcomed and connected to our Volney family!
